Foods to consume in first trimester

The foods that need to be consumed by every pregnant women in the first phase of Their pregnancy are as mentioned below:

  • Vegetables – Spinach, broccoli, peas, tomatoes, bell pepper, beans, asparagus, sweet potatoes and carrot.
  • Fruits – Grapes, oranges, sweet lime, avocados, Banana, pears, cantaloupes, cherries, gauvas, apples, pomegranate, watermelon and mango.
  • Dairy products – Yoghurt, cheese, milk products, peanut butter and curd.
  • Non-vegetarian – Eggs, chicken, lean meats and fish.
  • Whole grains – whole wheat, barley, oats, corn, millets, rice, lentils and dry fruits.

The above mentioned foods need to be present in your diet along with salads, soups, steamed vegetables, fresh fruit juices. The most important thing is though there will be frequent vomiting’s, still it is quite important to drink plenty of water. So, that body will not be hydrated. It is also highly important to avoid alcohol as well as caffeine drinks such as tea and coffee. One cup per a day is enough and not more than that.
